Ubud - Delicate Multi Color Sapphire Gold Elephant Necklace
- Low stock - 4 items left
- Inventory on the way
Delicate faceted strand of multi colored Sapphires from Thailand on silk thread connected to a bezeled 14K gold - filled chain then a beautifully hand carved (in Bali) Indian Elephant is attached as the pendant. 14K Gold Filled clasp closure in the front.
Please note that every batch of sapphires will vary and I'll add color variations as it arises, however, choosing a particular necklace isn't possible. Trust the artist to create. Elephants are not indigenous to Bali, however, there is a famous Elephant Sanctuary in Ubud, Bali , called Mason Elephant Sanctuary (the elephants there are Indian Elephants and are originally form the Indonesian island of Sumatra).
Those who know me, know that I'm obsessed with elephants and that I have at least one elephant somewhere in every room of my home. Such majestic, peaceful creatures that nurture their young and are protective of their herd. I wanted to bring the Mason Elephant Sanctuary to light just in case you're interested in sending in a donation or are planning to visit Ubud in the future. The sanctuary has struggled since the onset of 2020. Many other elephant sanctuaries exists throughout Asia and Africa such as th eReteti Elephant Sanctuary in Kenya and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Volunteer opportunities are plentiful as well.
