The pearl is a symbol of perfection and incorruptibility; it is a symbol of long life and fertility, and because of its luster it is often considered a MOON symbol, Luna the Moon Goddess. The moon is also buried within the oyster shell, the pearl represents hidden knowledge, and it is highly feminine. The hammering of the silver represents how the moon continues with great luster, despite the turmoil all around.
First inspiration was my own take of my admiration of RBG and it grew these past months as so many women all around the world have found their voice, including my own daughters.
